Meet Brian Devine
Father, husband, friend, and neighbor
Brian Devine is a resident of Broomfield who lives in the Anthem Highlands neighborhood. Brian has been married to his high school sweetheart, Maura, for 16 years, and they have two children ages 9 and 5. Brian has lived in Colorado for close to 20 years, and he and Maura chose Broomfield as the place to raise their young children because of its natural beauty, high quality of life and amenities, strong public schools, and the caliber of the people who live here.
Brian’s family is active in their community and his kids play on several Broomfield recreational teams including soccer, basketball, and baseball. In addition, Brian’s parents live in Anthem Ranch, where they are very active in a number of sports and social groups and both volunteer for various organizations.
Brian’s Professional Background
Brian is a passionate entrepreneur and professional speaker who owns and operates a digital marketing firm that he founded 10 years ago. Prior to that, Brian was a very successful territory manager for several large, international orthodontic and medical equipment manufacturing companies. During that time, Brian received many national and regional sales awards for his work and was highly regarded by his peers and clients. Brian received a B.S. in Marketing from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Through his own business, Brian has generously donated time and financial support to the orthodontic and dental industries. His company is a founding sponsor of the Mountain West Dental Institute (MWDI) in downtown Denver and was a regular sponsor for 10 years of the Colorado Summer Orthodontic Meeting. In the past, Brian’s company has also donated time and technical resources to the Colorado Orthodontic Foundation, which provides orthodontic care for low-income children.
Why Brian is Running
Brian was driven to run for Broomfield City Council in Ward 4 after spending the past year attending city council meetings, talking to friends and neighbors and learning more about the various issues that are of greatest concern to the people living in Broomfield. Brian clearly recognized that Broomfield residents have a desire to be heard and have their concerns addressed in a meaningful and respectful manner. Our residents are looking for leadership that prioritizes the health, safety, and welfare of the families who live in Broomfield.
Brian is committed to listening to his neighbors and constituents and acting as their voice on the city council. He will also work hard to forge strong relationships with the other City Councilors and find long-term solutions to ensure that our neighborhoods remain safe, that our city strengthens and embraces a smart growth philosophy and that our local government acts with transparency and remains fully accountable in all discussions and decisions.
In addition, Brian believes in the importance of strong public schools in Broomfield and the role that city council plays in supporting those schools. Brian’s two children attend an Adams 12 school in Broomfield. His wife, Maura, was the co-chair of the successful $350 million bond campaign last November for the Adams 12 Five Star School District and Brian also volunteered his time to help with the campaign. Brian believes that it is very important that the Broomfield City Council always consider the impact of its planning decisions on Broomfield schools especially when it comes to the safety and health of the children and teachers working and learning within those buildings.
Brian and his family love Broomfield and want to ensure that it remains one of the very best places to live in the nation. As a City Councilor, Brian will listen to you and work hard to advocate for your concerns on City Council. Brian knows that he is working for his entire family and yours when you elect him to serve for the next 4 ½ years.
